Landing Content Configuration Application

The Landing Content Configuration application is an application that can be given to users that allows them to create a Landing Page Configuration (LPC). An LPC is used to customize the content displayed on the various landing pages on the outside of a workspace/portal such as the sign in, sign up, workspaces, join workspace, etc. pages.

When creating an LPC you are required at a minimum to give it a Name and specify the various content positions on the different tabs. All of the Content Position fields determine where that content will be rendered on the screen in relation to the component they’re part of. The Content fields is the HTML content that will be displayed for those components. Additionally you can use the CSS Classes field to define CSS classes and styles that all the content fields will have access to, just simply add the class you defined to your content using the HTML editors. There are additional fields available in the different tabs that allow you to customize additional areas of the landing pages specific to those pages.

The Attached Files tab is used if you need to upload any files and reference them in any of the content fields. To do this simply add a new attached file, select the Public option, upload a file, and once uploaded select the Copy File URL button. You can now use the URL to reference the file however you would like through the HTML editors or even in the CSS classes to have a background image.

Once you’re satisfied with you’re LPC to apply it you need to note down the Landing Configuration GUID value on the Overview tab. This value will need to be added to your build pipeline variables for each environment you want this LPC applied to. This means you can make an LPC for each environment that’s slightly different if you would like. Once your LPC is added successfully deployed then any additional changes to it are applied instantly and don’t require a rebuild of the website, simply save your changes to the LPC in trellispark and your changes will be live.
