The ExternalURL Field provides an input field where users can enter a URL to another webpage, or of a file to download.
Depending on the configuration of the “Link Type” field, users can either navigate to the URL entered or download the file from that destination. A button that says “Download” or “GoTo” will be displayed on the filed to make it clear to the user what will happen with the URL entered when they click the button.
Link Type
Determines whether a button to navigate to the URL entered or download the file from that destination will be displayed.
If “Downloadable” is selected, a Download button will be rendered, allowing the user to download the file from the entered URL.
If “Navigate To” is selected, a GoTo button will be rendered, allowing the user to navigate to the entered URL.
