Get Started: Application Logs App

The Application Logs app can be accessed under the left hand-side navigation menu inside the Server Owner workspace. The Applications Log shows the list of errors triggered within the application in an Event Log, and is used by technical staff to find bugs and fix problems.

A common use case for the Application Logs is when seeking technical support from the GreatIdeaz team. You may be asked to provide the errors recorded in the Event Log at the time the error occurred to give the support team detailed information for troubleshooting.

The Event Log can be sorted by any of the provided columns: Logged On, User Name, Location, and Context. To sort by a specific column, click on the column name. The filter icon on each column name can also be used to filter data.

Logged On

The Logged On column of the Event Log provides a date and time stamp at the exact moment the error was triggered. This can be used as a reference when trying to find what errors were triggered and when.

User Name

The User Name column of the Event Log indicates which workspace user triggered the error.

Location

The Location column of the Event Log indicates the specific location where the error was triggered. This is used by technical staff when troubleshooting.

Context

The Context column of the Event Log indicates the exception that was triggered. This is used by technical staff when troubleshooting.
