Get Started: Application Logs App

Overview

The Application Logs application contains the event log and may be expanded to include other developer tools to allow users to troubleshoot and identify bugs within their applications. This event log tracks any errors triggered by the application code with a time stamp and a description of the error. It is the first point of reference for any issues within the application.

The event logs are useful to track errors within the code for debugging. Great Ideaz team members may request details from your event log as part of a support request. It will be most useful to technical users to handle issues in the code.

Orientation

The Application Logs app contains a single tab to hold the event log. This log contains a time stamp of when the event occurred, the username of the person who triggered the issue, the location in the code where the issue occurred, and any relevant context provided by the error message that was specifically triggered.

NOTE: We recommend that all your code developed in trellispark include detailed error handling to help pinpoint the precise type of error presented in the event log.
