Select File then Save As, specify the report’s File name which must be prefixed with the respective environment this report will serve (DEV, QA or PROD) followed by the ‘_’ (underscore) character, followed by selecting Save. The Report Name is the File name without the environment prefix, in this example it would be PowerBIProcedureValidation.
Select Publish followed by the workspace name you’d like to publish to and click Select.
Visit https://app.powerbi.com/, select the workspace you created in part 3, click Datasets, select the three dots on the new dataset we’ve just published and select Settings.
WARNING: You must ensure the gateway is using the same hostname or IP address that has been configured as the data source in the report. Use the IP address for both the gateway and report SQL data source to be safe from name resolution errors.
Under Gateway connection select the appropriate gateway you configured in part 6, choose the correct database under Maps to and click Apply.
If you’d like a default refresh policy for all new datasets associated with this report template (generally not): under Scheduled refresh, turn on Keep your data up to date and configure the refresh schedule. You also can refresh datasets manually.
