Visit https://dev.powerbi.com/Apps, sign in using your organization’s Active Directory account and select Next.
Set the Application Name to a meaningful name, set the Application Type to Server-side web application (for web apps or web APIs), and set the Home Page URL & Redirect URL to your organization’s root domain URL.
Under API access, select Read all datasets, Read all reports, Read all workspaces, Read and write all datasets, Read and write all reports and Create APIs followed by selecting Register. You can safely ignore the invalid message that states Note: An application registered here can’t be used as a service principal. Learn how to register a service principal.
Store the Application ID and Application secret in a secure location as these are sensitive values and will be required to configure Power BI Embedded as we’ll see later.
