Obtain configuration values for Power BI embedded
Visit https://portal.azure.com/#home, search & select App Registrations, then search & select the new application you just created in part 1.
Note down the Directory (tenant) ID in a secure location as this is a sensitive value and will be required later to configure Power BI Embedded as we’ll see later.
Under Overview, select Create Service Principal.
Select Managed application in local directory and note down the Object ID in a secure location as this will be required later to configure Power BI Embedded as we’ll see later.
Select Certificates & secrets and note down the Expires date for the Application Secret which we’ve noted earlier in part 1. This secret will be used to configure Power BI Embedded and will need to be regenerated and reconfigured in trellispark before the expiry date as we’ll see later.
Approve API permissions for Power BI application
Select API permissions and select Grant admin consent for Organization. If you do not see API permissions along the left-hand side, please proceed to the next step. Otherwise, you can skip the next step.

Assigning Power BI service principal to security group
Visit https://portal.azure.com/#home, search & select Groups, and select New group.
Under Group type select Security, provide a meaningful Group name, and optionally provide a Group description followed by selecting Create.
Select Members followed by Add members, search & select the Application Name we created in part 1 followed by clicking Select.
