Fields – Calculated

The calculated field will perform calculations on the fly each time a record that has a calculated field on it is loaded.

Here’s a list of all the calculations:

  • Created On
    • Displays the date and time in a 24-hour format that the current record was created on. YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
  • Created By
    • Displays the user that created the current record.
  • External URL
    • Displays a link to an external website (e.g., GreatIdeaz.com)
  • Show InstanceGUID
    • Displays the InstanceGUID of the current record.
  • Join Workspace Link
    • Generates and displays a link that can be used to allow someone join a workspace.
  • Invite User Link
    • Generates and displays a link for a user to join a workspace, also generates a join key that the user will need to enter during the join process.
  • Feedback Instance Link
    • Displays a button that when selected will load the instance feedback was submitted on.
  • Inserted By
    • Displays the user that inserted the current record.
  • Inserted On
    • Displays the date and time in a 24-hour format that the current record was inserted on. YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.

The Calculation Type field contains a list of all the different calculations noted above.

When the External URL calculation is selected two additional fields will appear, Target Page URL and Target Page Name. Both these fields are required for External URL calculation type.

  • The Target Page URL is the URL to an external website (for example, https://google.ca/)
  • The Target Page Name should be the exact same value as the Target Page URL, this is so the user knows where they’re being redirected to before they click the link.

The Feedback Instance Link calculation is only intended to be used on a Feedback concept.
