Fields – Avatar

An avatar field can be used to display and image, text, or an icon. If the field is configured to display an image the user can upload their own image to display.

Below is the field definition for the avatar field:

Depending on the options selected for Avatar Type and Size, different fields will be displayed. All possible fields and their purpose are noted below:

  • Avatar Type
    • Determines the type of avatar that will be used.
  • Size
    • Determines the size of the avatar (sizes are defined in the Telerik theme).
  • Custom Height
    • Determines the height of the avatar in pixels (only available when the Size is Custom).
  • Custom Width
    • Determines the width of the avatar in pixels (only available when the Size is Custom).
  • Roundness
    • Determines the radius applied to the avatar (values are defined in the Telerik theme).
  • Fill Mode
    • Determines if the avatar will be solid or an outline.
  • Display Border
    • Determines if the avatar will have a border around it.
  • Default Avatar Type
    • Determines what the default avatar type will be if no image is uploaded (only available when the Avatar Type is Image).
  • Icon
    • Determines what font awesome icon will be displayed (only available when Avatar Type or Default Avatar Type is Icon)
  • Storage Location
    • Determines what storage location the images will be uploaded to (only available when Avatar Type is Image).
  • Default Image URL
    • Determines what image will be displayed when no custom image has been uploaded by the user (only available when Avatar Type and Default Avatar Type is Image).
  • Font Size
    • Determines the size of the font in pixels (only available when the Avatar Type or Default Avatar Type is Text).
  • Text Type
    • Determines where the text value will come from (only available when the Avatar Type or Default Avatar Type is Text).
  • Static Text Value
    • Contain the text that will be displayed on the avatar (only available when the Avatar Type or Default Avatar Type is Text and when the Text Type is Static).
  • Target
    • Contains the target information of the target that will be called to get the text value that will be displayed in the avatar (only available when the Avatar Type or Default Avatar Type is Text and when the Text Type is Target).
  • XML Element
    • Determines what XML element will be used to look for a text value to display on the avatar (only available when the Avatar Type or Default Avatar Type is Text and when the Text Type is XML Element).
  • Max File Size
    • Determines what the max file size that can be uploaded in MB is.
