Fields – HTML String

An HTML string is used to store a string of HTML code that can be used to format or display other web pages. Similar to a string field, it will accept an XML Element Name, Tool Tip, and Empty Message. However, this field will display as a small editor field suitable to receive a full page of HTML in the appropriate format.

This is what the HTML string field will look like in the form:

The editor field may be allowed to automatically grow and take up more room on the page as more HTML is written in the field using the Editor Auto Grow field. The Editor Mode allows the field to display in an HTML mode or basic mode – the basic mode allows a degree of automatic formatting, creating HTML tags such as line breaks and paragraphs automatically to contain the information that is written into the field. For a direct HTML mode the user will need to write their own tags and can control the formatting and styling to a much higher degree.

An HTML string may or may not be a required field.
